Capcom Game Studio Vancouver is pleased to announce its new office expansion. After a year of massive internal growth, the studio has just moved into a brand-new space and invites you to celebrate with them.
The studio became part of the Capcom family when the Japanese gaming giant purchased Blue Castle Games last year after the BC studio’s release of the highly successful Dead Rising 2 videogame. Since the purchase, the studio has been on a significant recruitment drive and is now Vancouver’s fastest growing videogame studio.
To handle such high-speed expansion, the studio has doubled their floor space. The studio took over an outdated space and over the course of six months has created an impressive new space. Earlier this month we opened the doors and moved one of our game teams into the new floor. As well as an entirely new development floor there are five new custom audio rooms, meeting facilities and vidcon rooms for regular meetings with Capcom’s other offices in the US, Europe, Tokyo and development headquarters in Osaka.
